Fact-checking journalism represents a growing need, in light of a number of developments in tools and means, including with regard to means of disinformation and the spread of a large number and variety of misleading information, which spreads trying to twist and distort facts and mislead the public, and poses a threat to the reputation of the press and the media in general. All of this imposed a new field in the press and the media, which is fact-checking.
